Windows XP Trick – Create a hidden folder

Notes Video Hold down the ALT key and using the numeric keypad (not the numbers, which are special characters), press 0160 for a folder name empty. To delete the folder you need to rename it to a command prompt by typing: ren “foldername This is not a space between the quotes. You must press ALT 0160. You’ll then be able to delete the folder.

  4. Creating this as a hidden folder is rather simpler and no-one knows its there as long as show hidden files and folders is unticked. Thus no evidence that the folder exists. much easier

  17. To make second hidden folder:
    Create the folder and rename it as “ALT+0160″ then dont click enter just pres “ALT+0160″ one more time. ;)
