Windows XP Trick – Create a hidden folder

PCWizKidsTechTalk.com – Tips and Tweaks This tutorial shows you how to create a hidden folder in Windows XP. Do you have something to hide from view? Notes Video Hold down the ALT key and using the numeric keypad (not the numbers, which are special characters), press 0160 for a folder name empty. To delete the folder you need to rename it to a command prompt by typing: ren “foldername This is not a space between the quotes. You must press ALT 0160. You’ll then be able to delete the folder.

  4. Creating this as a hidden folder is rather simpler and no-one knows its there as long as show hidden files and folders is unticked. Thus no evidence that the folder exists. much easier

  17. To make second hidden folder:
    Create the folder and rename it as “ALT+0160″ then dont click enter just pres “ALT+0160″ one more time. ;)
