Questions about the Biblical Flood # 1?

One issue that has always been of great interest to students of the Bible is the Flood, an alleged event that would have been more catastrophic than any other natural disaster in history. The person who believes in the Flood should give logical answers
the following questions:

a) Genesis 6:17 says, “And I, behold, I bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life under heaven, all there is on earth will die.” Reinforces Genesis 7:4: “… and I will destroy every substance that I made from the face of the earth.” But how would a flood destroy the marine animals like whales, porpoises, water snakes, dolphins, amphibians and all animals that are completely underwater?
b) Genesis 7:8-9 says: “Of clean animals, and animals that are not clean, and birds, and everything that creepeth upon the earth, two by two came to Noah in the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah. ” The problems associated with this tale of creatures coming to the ark are particularly interesting. How did the ark of animals that are restricted to certain parts of the Earth? The penguins, kangaroos, polar bears, koalas and many others would have had to cross vast oceans. I can hardly guess how animals from other continents managed to cross the seas. How many of these animals could withstand the climate changes? Many of the creatures could not have polar withstand the heat of the Middle East. How prevented the animals kill their natural prey? The animals from other continents-slow snails, slugs, turtles, etc.-they must have begun its journey before the creation of the Earth! How were only 8 people to feed and water the world’s largest zoo for several months? How can the ark was kept clean, with only one window and one door? How did the animals where to go when it came time to enter the ark? After being released, how they returned to their respective regions? The vegetation that feeds many animals grows only in certain parts of the world. How was transported to the ark for storage? Are we to believe that entered the ark two of each species (two dogs, two cats, two elephants, etc.)? If so, should we also believe, for example, that the tremendous variety of dogs present in the world, from the Great Dane to the Chihuahua, is descended from two copies? This would indicate a tremendous evolutionary change in just a few millennia. However, believers are those who oppose the theory of evolution. How do animals know when to seek the ark? The text implies that just walked by his own will.

  1. You’re expecting logic from an inherently illogical story. Of course the standard reply is “It’s meant to be metaphorical,” though they want it taught as historical and/or scientific fact in our public schools.

    Just as an example: A vessel large enough to hold two of every species of land animal on earth would be larger than a modern aircraft carrier. Such a vessel could not be built from wood, even biblical wood. And it would take four men over 100 years to build it, using several hundred square miles of timber. It seems doubtful the OT god of vengeance and wrath would have been that patient.

  2. The bible is the perfect word of a perfect god

    Everything in it is 100% true and accurate down to the smallest detail

    you just don’t want to understand how this could happen.

    If you truly believed you would not ask difficult questions.

  3. All the stories in the bible are nothing more than fables. {Are you my brother? You LOOK like my brother! LOL}

  4. God was and is in control over creation. They do as they are told. The lions that where Daniel was throne did not eat him. The fire that Meshak and the others were thrown into did not burn them. God is in control.

    As for the size of the ark, it was more than adequate. Each specie from the beginning had all the genetic possibilities for the animals we have today. Noah probably carried about 35,000 different species. Not all are the size of elephants, some are quite small. The average size was about the size of a sheep. You should do some research on that.

  5. That’s a bunch of questions, not just one. Try asking one at a time. Or, were you just asking to try to get us to not believe what we know is true? Would that work with you? Funny, the one thing you said that was correct, about dog breeding, actually goes against the evolution you probably believe in.

    You wouldn’t understand the answers anyway, as you have to be spiritual to understand spiritual truths. And, don’t say you used to be a christian, because that’s impossible.

  6. a) what part of “upon the earth” or “from the face of the earth” do you not understand?
    b) we are not told how, if it was important for mankind’s salvation, perhaps we would be told, but it is probably not important for a religious text.

  7. Thank you for such a fantastic blog. Where else could one get this kind of info written in such an incite full way? I have a presentation that I am just now working on, and I have been looking for such information.
