How am I able to view my computer history on Windows 7?

I was able to do this on Windows XP from the explorer or IE. I am able to view history on IE 8.0 but there is no computer history.

By computer history, I mean when I open a picture, video or document file- it can be seen on History (on Windows XP explorer) – I’m looking for the same option on Windows 7.

Go here, http://malektips.com/internet_explorer_7_0009.html and follow the directions. It also has other how to for IE8.

You can use the Recent Items menu in the start menu.

After XP/IE6, internet explorer and windows explorer have been separated to improve security. This means that IE’s history doesnt keep track of windows explorer anymore.
