   It looks like it has thermal tape instead of thermal paste, and if it is thermal paste, it was WAY TOO MUCH. I would have wiped it off and tested with Arctic Silver 5 after as a sort of “what if” review.

   45c prime 95 27 idle i have two pa 120.3 radiators running on a 790i ftw i swear thats what they are but my room at the moment is around 60 degrees

    lmao you are fuckin retarded he oc’d his shit from what 2.4 to 3.5 or something? obviously it’s going to over heat you fuckin piece of shit my friend has this, and his cpu is oc’d from 2.6 to 3.2 and his idle temps are 20c and load temps are 45, I don’t oc my shit so i’m not worried about that you fuck face, right now during summer with my stock cooler my cpu idles at 60c and gets to 74c when I play cod4… so here’s a BIG FUCK YOU

    Really 10 years ago we had kryotech i know of and then came computernerd mach2. But what is a good phase cooler today??

    Actually it’s a good cooler. but the problem is the heat ‘won’t really reach the top of the cooler. It has to be taken away at the cpu. ANd the only way to do that sufficient is by going sub ambient (phase or ln2) or water, making the temp difference between the cpu ihs and the cores large enough for fast heat dissapation. Really 100 degrees is alot. but 4.2 ghz is too…

    Well you can’t be talking about the cores, because intel website says max is 100 degrees. And it’s exactly that max which is programmed into the processor when the protection starts throttling. I got a rampage extreme 2. I believe it’s called v-protection or something.
